:: Poisonings in Greece ::

Greece takes on the EU presidency with a mass poisoning
As Greece prepared to take over the EU presidency from Denmark, 18 dogs and some 40 cats were poisoned in Zappion - the area which hosts the EU presidency in Athens. A similar incident happened last time Greece held the EU presidency. The poisonings come under two weeks after a proposed new law on animal welfare was released.
