Ruined holiday in Kefalonia

Hi

I have just returned from a holiday in Kefelonia.I can honestly say that my holiday was ruined because I was so distressed to see so many stray dogs and cats on the island. Many of the cats that I encountered were heavily pregnant, I also saw many very young kittens. I felt helpless to do anything to help these animals and as soon as I returned home to the U.K. I checked the internet for information.i will be sending a financial donation but would also be very interested in doing some volunteer work on the island. Do you have any info on oportunities of how to do this?
